The officers and members of the Philippine Press Club Ontario (PPCO) join our community in
deep condolences and sympathy in the senseless act of violence at the Filipino Canadian
Festival in Vancouver, Canada where at least 11 people were killed and injured more than 20
last night at about 8 pm.
A 30-year old male suspect who plowed his car through the annual street festival is in custody,
and Vancouver police is confident that it was not an act of terrorism.
We stand together with our community in seeking justice for the victims and their families.
